Tea tree oil is a wonderful product with many different applications. It can be used not only for aromatherapy and massages, but in many aspects of house cleaning as well. Here are ten ways you can utilise tea tree oil for effective home cleaning and disinfecting your entire house.

1.    All-Purpose Home Cleaner

You can make a handy multipurpose domestic cleaner buy mixing 10-12 drops of tea tree oil with ½ cup of white vinegar and 2 cups of hot water. Use this mixture to clean and disinfect countertops, floors and bathroom and kitchen tiles. Just avoid cleaning marble or granite surfaces with it, as vinegar can damage natural stone quite easily.

4.    Mould Removal Spray

Mould and mildew can be the bane of the homeowner, as those are notoriously persistent and hard to remove. To make a mould removal spray you can use in your bathroom cleaning, mix 1 cup of water with around 5ml of tea tree oil and pour that in a spray bottle. Shake the spray bottle before use and spray the mixture onto the mould affected areas; let it sit for a couple of minutes and then wipe away with a clean cloth.

This will help you keep ticks, flies, mosquitoes and other pests away.
